Ruth Barlow Johnson 1934-2014 Ruth was born on November 10, 1934 in Salt Lake City to Albert and Kate Barlow. Ruth Passed away October 28, 2014 with her loving family by her side. Mom grew up in Salt Lake City and went to South High School. She was raised with a large family and all twelve children were very close and took care of each other. Mom moved to San Francisco for a short time and always loved going back to the Bay City. The love story began when Mom met David M. Johnson. They were married June 24, 1959 in Evanston Wyoming. Together they had five amazing boys. Her sons were her world. She truly loved them. She passionately loved her grandchildren and would do anything for them. If one of her boys or a grandchild were in need or hurting, she would do whatever it took to make the world right again for them. Most of all Mom loved the lord Jesus Christ. Mom accepted the Lord several years ago and loved to share the good news of Jesus with anyone who would listen and even with those whom didnt. It was very important that mom introduced the lord to her husband and her boys and she did. Everywhere in moms kitchen you could find hand written post it notes with Bible verses on them. A Christian radio station would be playing somewhere in the house as well. She just loved it. Mom loved the outdoors and was the greatest camper. She could make anything taste good and she had a passion for painting. Mom made everyone feel comfortable. Her needs were secondary to someone in need and would show that daily in her earthly walk. Mom is survived by her sons Chris (Christine), Brad, Clint (Robin) and Stuart. Her sisters Francis Heininger, Rebecca Peterson, Alhona Bangerter and Virgina Ginny Barlow. Brothers Anthus and John. Mom will be missed by all of her cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, her husband David and her baby boy Jason Daniel. Her sisters Arlene Watcher, Wanda Henderson, Marie Davis. Brothers Albert, David, Lee and Douglas. The family would like to thank Country Life Care Center for the out pouring of care, concern and love they had for mom the last few weeks. You guys are the best!
