Our mother, grandmother, aunt and sister, Nettie Rozella Carlile Broadhead, 81, passed away October 13, 2017.
She was born in Heber City, Utah to Kenneth S. and Nettie LeFevre Carlile.
She attended Tabiona High School and BYU. On December 7, 1955, she married Calvin Broadhead in the Salt Lake Temple.
She was well known for her applesauce cookies, service to neighbors, friends and family. She always made Christmas special for her family with her scrapbooking and hand knitted slippers. She was an example of Christ-like service to all she knew.
She was active in the LDS Church, serving in many positions in the Rose Park 10th and Sandy First Wards. She especially loved serving in the primary and being a visiting teacher.
Despite her many challenges toward the end of her life, she was always pleasant and positive and thought of others rather than herself. The family is so grateful for her doctors, caregivers, Aspire nurses, and those at Legacy House of South Jordan.
She is survived by children, Yvonne (Paul) Miller, Kent (Karen), Lee (Pam), Lynn (Tauna), Hal (Michelle), Phil (Janet); 27 Grandchildren and 27 Great Grandchildren; siblings, Lonnie (Sue), Joan, Faun (Carl), Valden (Karen), Charlene, Doug (Cindy), Phil (Janet).
She is preceded in death by husband, parents, brothers J.C. and Rex.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to the LDS humanitarian and missionary funds.
A viewing will be held Wednesday, October 18, 2017 from 6-8 pm at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 19 at 11:00 am in the Sandy, Utah West Stake Center, 8650 S. 220 E. with a viewing 1 hour prior. Interment at the Sandy City Cemetery.
