Alfred LeRoy (Roy) Heagren, 88, beloved husband, father and grandfather, was born on October 4, 1926 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Harry Leroy Heagren & Ann Grace Betts Heagren. Roy was raised by his grandparents Alfred & Edith Betts at the age of 2 when his mother was taken from this earth life at an early age. Roy graduated from South High School in 1944 and served honorably in the National Guard.

Roy obtained his college degree from Stevens Henagars College and went to work for Texas El Paso Gas as an auditor for a few years and then spent the next 28 years working in auditing with the State of Utah Tax Commission. He married Clem McMullin in 1951 in the Salt Lake Temple.  Roy found joy in nature, wood working and family history. Some of his favorite pastimes included bird watching, hunting, fishing, working on his cabin and researching family history. Roy was a member of the LDS Church, and served in various positions and organizations of the church, but his favorite was genealogy and family history. His children were his pride and joy. He supported them in their activities. He was involved with his wife Clem's dance recitals and plays.
