Mary Rowena Jenkins Beratto, 95, passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at the Sandy Health and Rehab Center in Sandy, Utah.
She was born July 15, 1922 to Frederick Hardcastle Jenkins and Vera Rowena Ostler Jenkins. Married Leonard Barney Beratto in Midvale, Utah on May 1, 1944. They had three children, Leonard Kay, Barney Russell and MaryAnne.
She worked at Vincent Drug Store, Welch's Planing Mill and Midvale City Offices as far as we recollect.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a member of the Midvale Fire Ladies Auxiliary and was involved with the Fraternal Order of Eagles with Dad. She loved music and sang with the Relief Society Singing Mothers. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and especially fishing with Dad on the weekends. They both loved being with family and taking trips. They enjoyed their monthly lunches with Mom's sister, Tabetha (Don) and brother, Milton (Betty), and going to Wendover. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leonard; son, Russell; sister, Tabetha; and brother-in-law, Don; brother, Milton (Betty) Jenkins.
Survived by oldest son, Leonard Kay (Karen) Beratto; daughter, MaryAnne (Ray) Johnson; five grandchildren, Brian Beratto, Travis (Teresa) Beratto, Andrew Johnson, Jed (Emily) Johnson, Stacy Johnson (Todd) Henrie; nine great-grandchildren, Brooks and Samantha Johnson, Myles and Jessi Johnson, Tony, Tanner and Lucas Victorino, Trent and Easton Henrie.
Funeral services will be Saturday, May 12, at 11 a.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State St., Midvale, with viewings Friday 6-8 p.m. and again Saturday one hour prior to the services. Interment, Midvale City Cemetery.
