Ronald J. Birch, our warm and compassionate father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle, passed away on August 14, 2015 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born on July 2, 1948 in Murray, Utah to David Glen Birch and Dorothy Hunting.
Ron served honorably in the U.S. Army.
He loved to go camping near Tabiona, Utah. His favorite fishing hole was the North Fork of the Duchesne River. He was an avid weather watcher and loved to watch the television show M.A.S.H.
Ron was very passionate about his faith and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survived by his son, Lanson (Angela) and children, Alexis Birch, Lanson (Levi) Birch, Linkin Birch and Alissa Birch; daughter, Sandra (Jose) and children, Thomas Paxton, Aaron Paxton and Kaylyn Paxton; great grandchild, Aryien Paxton; siblings, David, Steven (Alicia) and Susan (Kelly); 13 nieces and nephews; 36 great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 21, 2015 at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Midvale, Utah. A viewing will be held 1 hour prior. Interment, Utah Veterans Memorial Park.
Ron will be greatly missed.
