Ron Chenny Dodds

Ron, 49, passed away on March 15, 2020 in West Jordan, UT.

He was born on August 10, 1970 in Murray, Utah to Ron and Rhonda Dodds. Ron married Tammy Evans on June 3rd, 1995 in Cottonwood Heights, Utah. They were getting ready to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary this year.

Ron was medically retired from Kennecott Copper after 19 years as a heavy machinery operator. He spent his days as an avid fisherman, craftsman, artist, explorer, treasure hunter, and tinkerer.

He was known in the Salt Lake motorcycle community as "Dodds" and is very well respected throughout that community. The last couple of years of his life he spent his days at The Chapel Motorcycle Shop hanging out with his second family. The Chapel was a huge part of his life and the friendships he made there meant the world to him.

His plants, fishies, and treats from his mom were some of his favorite things, but nothing compared to his love for his wife and kids.

He is survived by his parents, and sister Stacie Sayre, his wife Tammy and two children, Dakota and Shayna and their significant others, Lexee and Jimmy, as well as many nieces, and nephews who all love their Unkie, as well as many in-laws (and outlaws).

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at Goff Mortuary on 8090 South State Street, Midvale, UT 84047 at noon with a viewing one hour before. This will be an informal event. We invite and encourage any and all who knew Ron to come and share their memories and stories.
