Rolayne 'Rose' Nielsen

Our Sweet Rose was called home to Heaven far too soon on July 10, 2018. Those left behind will miss her laughter and deep kindness.

She is survived by a loving son (Ken), three beautiful granddaughters (Brooklyn, Caillean, Fionna), four sisters (Carol, Marilyn, Janene, JoEllen) and a brother (Robert).

Rose was born to Joseph Wayne Curtis and Ethel Juanita Searcy on August 26, 1949. In her 68 years many who knew her witnessed her dedication to hard work with a meticulous attention to detail in everything she did. But many did not know she was an excellent sketch artist. She had also been a dancer and instructor of jazz and ballet. She had also earned a brown belt in Kempo Karate.

Rose was a dedicated grandmother and loved her granddaughters. She was the best mother a son could be blessed to have.

Her mortal coil is gone but her spirit lives on in all our lives ageless and evergreen.

We love you Rose.
