Rodney Craig Vaughn

Rodney Craig Vaughn, born October 24, 1951 in Marshalltown, Iowa to Johnnie and Doris Vaughn. Passed away December 23, 2015. Graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1969. Attended Marshalltown Community College with a Certificate in Machine Technology in 1970. Rod had two sons from a previous marriage, Scott Vaughn and Darin Vaughn. Married to Joanne Simpson in 1995.

He is survived by his wife, Joanne; sons, Scott (Sherry) Vaughn of Garwin, Iowa, Darin (Jackie) Vaughn of Marshalltown, Iowa; step-daughter, Nicole (Nick) Slosky of Fuquay Varina, North Carolina; grandchildren, Caleb, Brianna, Lexi, Austin, Emily, Jake and Finley; 8 brothers and 3 sisters, Don (Linda) of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Janell Runner of Marshalltown, Iowa, Ronda Vaughn of Monument, Colorado, Randy (Cindy) Vaughn of Marshalltown, Iowa, Doug (Lisa) of Colo, Iowa, Dennis (Chris) of Colo, Iowa, Dan (Jeanine) of Boone, Iowa, Joanie (Bob) Jamison of Colo, Iowa; Rick Vaughn of New Providence, Iowa, Tim Vaughn (Becky) of Marshalltown, Iowa, Kevin Vaughn (Traci) of Marshalltown, Iowa, sister-in-law, Diane Brecken; brother-in-law, Dave (Tami) Popelmayer; 25 nieces and nephews and 22 great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his mother, father and mother and father-in-law, Mary and Frank Popelmayer.

A small memorial will be held on February 6, 2016 at the All Seasons Community Clubhouse, 290 North Redwood Road from 2-4 p.m.
