Robyn Lynn Jensen

Robyn Lynn Jensen returned to heaven on November 11, 2020.  Born on August 21, 1958 to Lowell Norup Jensen & Barbara Juliet Wood; she was one of three children.

Robyn adored her children, Jonathan, Juliette, Olivia (Jordan) and Samuel. Robyn's greatest joy and honor was to be a mother. She created a magical life for her children. She was a mother, daughter and sister to many.

Robyn's fondest childhood memories were spent cooking with her grandmothers, playing with cousins and friends. She sang in the school choir, starred in school plays and was a talented artist. Robyn was a cotillion queen and a cowgirl. She loved her horse (Chico) and riding with her father at the family's Lazy J Ranch.

Robyn was the owner of Designs by Robyn and Founder/President of the Olive Branch Foundation. She tirelessly served. She made every part of life beautiful.

Robyn was an extraordinary cook, hostess, creator, mother, friend and laugher. Her influence and love was felt by those who knew her. She was thoughtful, caring and inspiring. She was so much fun.

She loved her Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Her testimony of the gospel was fierce and she was a missionary in every moment. Her spirit and kindness is the legacy she left for us.

Robyn knows that her Redeemer lives.

Special thanks to the Board of the Olive Branch Foundation. And thanks to Katea Katoa for her extraordinary care, strength and love.

A service will be held for Robyn at the Marion Utah Cemetery.

Jonathan, Olivia and Sam would each like to share an additional tribute:

From Jonathan:

Mom was a lot things but what amazed the most is she never doubted who she was ever! She always held her testimony in her heart and everything she did was an extension of that ethos. She never quit anything she set her mind to and finished everything she started. She worked hard and loved to keep everything around her sparkling clean. She curated beauty everywhere she went and was such a spiritual power house. She had so much energy! She was such a good friend and would do anything for anyone. She often would do random acts of charity. So many times she would stop the car out of no where... slamming on the breaks to make a seemingly random turn and run into an old friend in need. She always followed her intuition and was such an example of that to me. Miracles followed her everywhere.

When I was in my early 20s I would crash on the couch in the basement and without fail every morning at 6 am she was up and would come down and abruptly turn the lights on, fire up the treadmill, turn the TV on to Glenn Beck or Rush Limbaugh full blast and would proceed to workout for an hour or so no matter what. Even when she was battling cancer the first time she was up, against her doctors will, running on that damn treadmill. For me then... this was an awful time because I was trying to sleep, but her goals were never negotiable.

She would wait for me to stir and eventually give in to waking up. Usually saying something like "wake up Jonny boy" it drove me crazy but secretly I loved it. After I was coherent we would start our day talking about spiritual things, our impressions and what we felt was truth.

She made such and impression on me. She was such a prolific person. Her physical presence will be missed but her light still shines very brightly on everyone who's life she touched.

I love you mom. I'm happy your home in heaven.

From Olivia:

Hi Mama,

There is much of you in me. Your talents, your drive, your desires, your fire, your strength. You inherently gave me so much and taught me so many important lessons. I watched you sprinkle your greatness around the earth for my entire life. There's nowhere I look without thinking of you. You are so many things to me.

You are motherhood. You are tough love. You are unconditional love. You are beauty. You are service. You are selflessness. You are faith. You are joy. You are laughter. You are FUN.

When I'm running late, when I break the rules in the name of fun, eat chocolate in bed and order movie theater popcorn with layers and layers and layers of butter. That's you. When I blast Cat Stevens, Carly Simon and Fleetwood Mac in the car, or spend a summer day by the pool, nap in the sun and work in the yard;  it's you. When I have a messy kitchen, cook a delicious meal or host a party; It's you. When I put on a great outfit, use hot curlers, wear light blue perfume and paint my nails blush pink; it's you. When I wrap a gift, clean my house, decorate for a holiday, wake up Christmas morning, visit a friend, kiss my puppies and sing off key; it's you. When I take the long way home and enjoy the view, design, create, celebrate and laugh so hard I pee my pants; it's you. When I eat Ms. Bakers Cake or cozy up in a pajama set and slippers; it's you. When I stay up late talking to a friend, say a prayer, write a note, set the table and visit the Tetons and take in the sunset till it's gone; it's you. There's no separation between you and all the most special parts of life. You showed me how to live and what is important. How to enjoy everything. The big and little moments.

I've never known someone as magnetic and powerful as you. You connected so deeply with everyone. You opened your heart and home every day.

My Dearest Mom. I love you so much. There's so much about this life that doesn't seem fair, especially right now. But you never saw it that way. You trusted it all. Even the things that never made sense to me. You led by example. You reassured us every day. You cheered us on and supported us endlessly. You worked so hard. You loved us all so much. I am beyond lucky to be your daughter. I treasure the closeness we have and the conversations we shared. You are so strong. You are spectacular. You are always with me.

Love you forever,

Your Livy Lou

From Sam:

"But charity is the pure love of Christ, and it endureth forever; and whoso is found possessed of it at the last day, it shall be well with him."

Mom lived her life showing each and every person she met what this pure love is. Most of the memories I have of my mother are of her serving others. She always was looking outward and helping everyone around her, whether it was a family member, friend, or stranger. Mom devoted herself and gave of herself to everything she did.

Mom did everything she could for us, her children. She worked hard from morning until very late at night with little rest in between because she loved us so much. She always put us first and made sure we had everything we wanted and needed. Mom showed us an example of love that lasted forever. I learned to care for other people, serve others, and always love people regardless of who they are because of her example.

Mom also showed us how to have fun. If there was anyone in our family who knew how to throw a party, it was mom. From the loud music in car drives in Jackson Hole with the windows down to dinner parties with friends, mom always knew how to entertain a party. Mom knew how to laugh and keep that energy going the whole night. Mom was able to make each person at a party feel included and that she wanted them specifically there. She had a way with people that made each person feel so important and that at that moment nothing else mattered outside of the conversation.

Mom loved her garden and taught us that beautiful things take a lot of work. She worked with great care in our garden until she finished or couldn't work more that day. She loved the dirt on her fingers and the smell of the roses in our backyard. Mom knew the work that was needed for a family and put the work in to help us have a beautiful and fun family. Mom made sure that each holiday was experienced and enjoyed to its fullest by putting out magical decorations for Christmas, making the most elaborate and delicious meals, and creating a cozy and warm environment for us and each person who came through our front door. There was always work to be done, but the rewards were always beautiful.

Mom, I love you so much. You always saw the best in and expected the best out of everyone you knew. You had the faith to see peoples' potential and the faith to help them reach it. You had the faith to endure extremely difficult challenges and showed that when you have a firm foundation in Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father, you will never waver. I know the one thing you loved more than us kids was God and Jesus Christ. Thank you for your example.

Much love,

Your Sam
