Roberta Ann Galvan Watts

Roberta Ann Galvan Watts peacefully passed away on March 17th, 2025 at her home in Midvale. Roberta was born on August 6th, 1956 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Henry Galvan and Alberta Sharp Galvan of Midvale. She was the oldest of 5 children. Robbie went to Brighton High School, and graduated in 1974. After high school she worked for a dry-cleaning company and never let her family forget to “press your clothes!” She married David Watts on June 17, 1979. They welcomed three wonderful children Soccorro, Christopher, and Daniel who remained the loves of her life. She devoted 38 years to Smith’s bakery, even while battling cancer. She spent many years making beautiful cakes and mentoring coworkers. In doing so, she made lifelong friendships. Roberta was a woman of incredible strength and resilience. She spent many years crafting, sewing, and exploring her passion for ceramics. Her creative spirit was matched only by the boundless love she had for those around her.

A nurturer at heart, Robbie touched the lives of everyone she met. She was a constant source of support, kindness, and warmth, offering care and compassion to all. No matter the challenges she faced, she was a light that never dulled. Her greatest joy in life was her family. She adored her children and grandchildren, and was so proud of their accomplishments. Roberta leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and unwavering devotion to those she cherished.

Survived by her two siblings, husband David Watts, and children Soccorro (Blake) Watts, Christopher Watts, and Daniel (Brittany) Watts, grandchildren Sierra (Dez) Dorsey, Eastin (Jacee) Watts, Conner Boley, Peyton Watts, Lucas Watts, and Iris Watts. Along with her four great grandchildren Hadley, Ivory, Emre, and baby boy. She is preceded in death by her two brothers Michael and Mark Galvan, along with her loving parents Henry and Alberta.

Her family wants to thank all those that supported Robbie in her final years with special thanks to Store #139, Dr. Shortridge, Dr. Gardner, and everyone at the Jordan Valley Cancer Center.
