Robert Glen Nevers - father, grandfather, and life-long learner - passed away on July 4, 2022. He was best known as Bob. His concern for others, his humor, and his love of books will be missed.
Bob was born on June 26, 1957 in Glendale, California to William George Nevers and Orlean Warner Nevers. After graduating from high school in Woodland Hills, California, Bob attended the University of Utah and graduated in clinical psychology. He loved people and sought to understand and help them. He completed an MBA in finance and banking at Westminster College in Salt Lake City. He worked as a mortgage broker. He loved numbers and had a knack for remembering them.
Bob loved chocolate, sports, humor, and books. He always had one or many books near him, while on the lookout for another. He always said there was more to read and learn. Bob was fond of and willing to share a funny story, often as the loudest voice in the room. He liked to make people laugh.
Bob was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He would often notice if someone was missing, and check on them. He loved to spend Friday nights at the temple, and to number the people for whom he did work in an evening.
Bob is survived by his father William G. Nevers, his children Douglas Robert Nevers (Sherry), Steven William Nevers (McKenna) and Emily Janette Christofferson (Nathan), his five grandchildren, and his siblings Kathleen Nevers Smoyer (Dean) and Gary W. Nevers (Dianne).
A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at the Spanish Fork City Cemetery, 420 South 400 East, Spanish Fork, Utah.
