Mona, Utah - Robert Wilfred Manseau,80, passed away on Saturday December 23, 2017 at 5:30 p.m. surrounded by his loving family. Robert struggled for 13 years with congestive heart failure and COPD. His strength to carry on was from his great desire to see his children raised and started on their paths in life.
Robert was born on March 11, 1937 in Lowell Massachusetts. He was the oldest son of Wilfred Avila Manseau and Madeline McCormack.
Robert was a husband, father, brother, grandpa and friend to many.
Robert was a man of great love, kindness, thoughtfulness and hard work. He would always tell his children and anybody that would listen, "you will work until the day you die." Bob was a great example of this, working a job until his death. For 30 of his years he drove truck for Pride Transport in Salt Lake City.
Robert (aka) Bob's life was longer than anyone in the Manseau family, with his parents preceding in death in their early 70's and his brother Arthur at age 45. We will miss Bob's humor and sparkling happy blue eyes. Bob played guitar and performed in several bands. He loved raising and riding horses, with Barrel racing being his favorite event. Bob loved feeding and caring for his chickens and sneaking treats to his pet Poodle.
Bob is survived by his wife of 42 years, Diana Corbett Manseau and 13 children, Timothy, Bryan, Kenny, Richard, James, Jennifer, twins Amy & Tiffany, Mike, Robert Jr., Kathleen, Kimberly, Pamela, 25 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, nephew, John Manseau, brother, Thomas Manseau, nieces, Sheila Kennedy and Sherri Johnson. He will surely be missed.
A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at the Mona 3 & 4th Ward Chapel. A viewing will be held 1 hour prior to the service.
