Robert (Bob) Milton Finlayson passed away after 90 years of independence and activity on March 2, 2018. He was born on Sept. 16, 1927 to Allan Milton and Ebba Ethel Lindell Finlayson, at their home in Sandy, Utah.
Bob graduated from Soda Springs High School, Idaho and then pursued his dream in art at the University of Idaho, graduating with honors. His life in advertising brought opportunities for travel and adventure visiting most countries of the world. He visited New York City often to enjoy Broadway performances and loved sharing these experiences with his cousin, Ramona, and other friends. He was a member of many clubs and organizations, including the Alta Club and the Old Ambassador Club. He was a resident of Salt Lake City for over 50 years and loved walking from his home to downtown and back again.
He was preceded in death by parents, a sister Marcia (Perry) Warner, brothers Allan (Dorothy), Richard (Laura), and sister Idona (R. Park) Stapley. He is survived by 11 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 9, 2018 at 12:00 pm, with a viewing one hour prior to services at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Midvale, Utah. Burial will be in the Sandy City Cemetery, 700 E. 9000 S., Sandy, Utah.
