Robert George Emery, born May 4th, 1961 in North Platte, Nebraska, passed away peacefully at home on July 5th, 2023, in Draper, Utah, surrounded by loved ones. Over the course of his life, he was a giant influence on many lives, encouraging others to strive for their dreams.
As a son, brother, father, grandfather, instructor, mentor and friend, Robert is survived by his three children, Tiffany, Travis (Carolyn), and Charli as well as eight grandchildren, his mother Janice and step father Bill Kraft, his siblings Ida, John, Tina, Jody, Rhonda and the mother of his children, Stephanie. Leaving his legacy, The UCSA, a Historical European Martial Arts organization behind, the hundreds of students who sought his instruction, salute his efforts, care and passing.
Robert was an avid fisherman and was allergic to bull****. He never let injustices go unseen, stood up for the underdog and raised his kids and taught his students to do the same. This is how he’d want to be remembered:
By my honor, I do swear, to uphold all that is true and all that is just.
To defend those who are threatened,
and to lay down my life if needed in the defense of truth.
To fight for those who seek freedom and liberty,
To seek wisdom and knowledge, and to use them to aid my fellow man.
To cherish the land around me and preserve its natural state.
I will take no innocent life and will oppose all evil to the fullest extent of my power.
All this I do swear.
May Honor Follow The Sword
