Bob Earl, 81, passed away January 10, 2018 at his home in Sandy, Utah. He was born March 24, 1936 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Leroy Walker and Irene Marx Earl. Bob married Betty Ann Morton on November 15, 1958 in Elko, Nevada.
Bob served in the US Navy from 1954-1957. It is there he met three lifelong friends, Ken Borg (Karen), Bill Simpkinson (Margaret), and Jack Willson (Chris, deceased).
Bob married the love of his life, Betty, in 1958. They loved each other unconditionally until her passing in 1998. He is happy to be with her again.
Bob worked very hard throughout his life, retiring from Kennecott and his own business "Bob's House Cleaning" after 32 years.
He loved Lake Powell and vacationing with his family and friends. He enjoyed working in his yard, taking care of his garden and fruit trees. He was always willing to help anyone when needed, and made everyone feel welcome.
Survived by children, Robert Scott Earl (LeAnn), and Wendy Marie Fleming (fiancé Gary Baker), grandchildren Chet, Sharli, Whitney, Scott Sterzer, Calvin and Alicia, great-grandchildren Breckyn and Olivia, brother Ronald Earl, sisters Faye Thomas Helm (Steve) and Cheryl Thomas Laub (Norman), and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by wife Betty Ann, parents, brothers Wynn and Lynn Earl, sister Judith Gail Earl, Stace Fleming and Laurie Earl.
Funeral services Monday, Jan. 15, at 2 p.m. at the Goff Mortuary Chapel, 8090 S. State St., where there will be a viewing Monday from 12:45-1:45 p.m. Interment, Sandy City Cemetery.
