Robert Alan Davis, best known as Bob, passed away at his home on Friday, July 22, 2016. Bob was born on June 15, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan to Arthur Lee and Eunice Elizabeth Davis. While visiting Salt Lake on leave with a friend, Bob met Judith Ann Paulsen while on leave with a friend. Bob married his wife Judith on September 22, 1967 and they were later sealed together as a family for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple in March 4, 1971. Bob was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Bob served his country well in the United States Air Force and Air National Guard and retired after serving for 25 years. He grew up in Baldwin Park, California. Bob was a dedicated and hard-working man. At the time of his death he was working for L-3 Communications. He loved airplanes from a young age. He loved to read. He enjoyed reading a variety of types of books. He especially loved history. He was an avid shooter and excellent marksman. Bob truly loved his family dearly. They were a great source of pride and joy for him. He loved taking his family on trips to Disneyland and the beach. Many wonderful memories were made on these family trips together that will be forever cherished. He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Eunice Davis. He is survived by his wife Judith, and his children; Robert Jr. (Stephanie), MaryAnne, Richard (Angela), Trenton (Jayme), and Mark, and his 11 grandchildren who he loved so very much (Robert III, Jessica, Carly, Ryan, Madison, Isaac, Anthony, Eliza, Cache, Abby, and Evelyn), his sister Susie (Chuck Gabel), his brother Lee, as well as a large extended family and friends that will all miss him dearly. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 29, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Welby 8th Ward church house at 8385 South 4800 West in West Jordan. Viewings will be held Thursday, July 28, 2016 from 6:00 � 8:00 p.m., and again Friday from 9:30 � 10:30 a.m., all at the Welby 8th Ward church house. Interment at the West Jordan Cemetery.
