Robert spent his childhood years in Georgia, Florida and upstate New York. He developed a love for basketball and played for his school team. Robert joined the Army during his Senior year in high school and enjoyed serving in Germany where he was trained as a M1 Armor Crewman. After his time in the Army he began to travel until he landed in Utah in 1983. He quickly fell in love with the mountains and considered Utah to be his home. Robert attended Pima College in Tucson, Arizona where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Wastewater Management. His love, however, was heavy equipment and truck driving. He was like a little boy with big boy toys in the construction world.

In 1991 he married Jana Hyer in Cedar City, Utah. Together they welcomed their son Jordan. He later married Andrea Weeks in 2006 in Provo, Utah. They began their life together in Nephi, Utah. He was full of life, gaining children Katlyn, Brikel, Brody, and Brock. He was beyond proud with the birth of his daughter Jade in 2008 which completed their family.

Robert built his dream in Nephi where he proudly opened RC’s Auto Detailing. He was very meticulous and truly lived by his motto, “For A Shine Like New Money” He later joined Murdock Hyundai in Lindon where he continued providing quality top of the line detailing to Utah County.

He was loved by all and could talk with anyone; he had a way of making everyone feel welcome. His uplifting demeanor brought positivity wherever he was. He had a large stature and a Smile to match. Robert loved his family, he loved music and cars. He loved barbecuing and making his famous Rob’s Ribs. His favorite time was spent with his loved ones laughing, listening to music and dancing.

Robert leaves behind his pride and joy Jade Cotton of Vineyard, Utah, Jordan Hyer of Austin, Texas, Brock Weeks of Nephi, Utah, Brody (Mari) Weeks and grandchildren Bronson, Konlee, and Kolter all of Nephi, Utah, Brikel Weeks of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Katlyn (Ben) Weeks and grandchildren Ryklyn, Mazdin, Tayden, Bexlyn, Portlyn, Breegan and Kailen, all of St. George, Utah, and a very special nephew Matt (Mirian) Larsen of West Valley, Utah.
