Robert M Camarillo

Robert M Camarillo of Taylorsville, Utah, also known to many as Hon, Pops, daddy, Popo, Grandpa Hippo and Bob, 75, went to heaven on February 11, 2022. Robert was born in Poteet, Texas in January 1947 to Simon and Hilaria Camarillo. Robert was married to Dora Linda Camarillo on October 2nd, 1966.

Robert was survived by his wife Linda, 5 children Evette from Kansas, Robert & Gena from Utah, Veronica & Troy from Utah, Randy & Vanessa from Utah, Sarah & Issac from Utah, 15 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 2 more great grandchildren arriving in July, siblings Joe Camarillo, Feliz Tijernia, Beatrice Pesina, Simon Camarillo II, Linda Zepeda, Mary Skipper, Gilbert Camarillo and Steve Camarillo. Predeceased by his parents, two brothers Johnny Camarillo and Richard Camarillo.

Robert grew up in Hereford, Texas where he soon met Linda in 1964 on a blind date. They soon married on October 2nd, 1966 and were married 55 years in 2021. Robert worked for Yellow Freight for 30 years as a truck driver and retired in 2007. Our Dad's love of the outdoors took him and Mom on many trips in their RV, meeting up with siblings traveling in their little caravan. They took many camping and vacation trips with all their kids, grandkids and great grandkids singing songs by the campfire, because he loved to sing and tell stories. Their home was always a place of gathering to all his kids, grandkids, and friends.

A celebration of life will be held February 15th, 2022, from 6 to 8 pm at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Midvale, Utah 84047.

Funeral will be held February 16th, 2022, at the same location starting with a viewing at 11 am, services at noon.

Interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E 10600 S, Sandy, Utah 84092.
