Robert (Bob) Wallace Parkin, Sr.

Robert (Bob) Wallace Parkin, Sr. passed away due to natural causes on August 30, 2015 in Sandy, UT. He was born on June 6, 1928 in Salt Lake City, UT to Wallace Mann and Josephine Hancock Parkin.

Robert married Delma Jean Wright on September 24, 1948 in Ogden, UT.

He was a proud Veteran, having served in the Navy during WWII on Manus Island, Papua New Guinea. He often spoke of his service in the Navy, and loved sharing his memories of this important time in his life.

Dad worked hard his entire life to provide amazingly well for his family. He was a salesman and manager at Ken Garff Oldsmobile and Marion Willey and Sons Ford, as well as other car dealerships in Utah and Arizona.

He is survived by his three children; Paula (Carey) Quick, Robb Parkin, and Michelle (Jon) Dansie; 6 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and his brother Steve (Dorothy) Parkin.

Preceded in death by his wife, Delma, parents, sister Virginia Tucker, and grandson Ross Parkin.

Thank you to all those who have done so much to love and care for us as Dad approached the end of a life well lived. We are especially grateful to Dr.Vernon Liu and Hospice for their concern and gentle care. Dad's request was to have no services.
