Robert H. Hardcastle, devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather returned to the loving arms of our Heavenly Father on October 20, 2017. He was born September 11, 1929 in Sandy, Utah to Clifton Harry and Luella (Maynard) Hardcastle. Bob married his 'eternal sweetheart' Marilyn Dahl on November 12, 1948 in the Salt Lake Temple and from this day forward they were never apart.

He will be missed by his five children, Roseann (David) Higham, Gordan (Krisan) Hardcastle, Sharon (Richard) Hartwell, Pauline (Randy) Garn, Carolyn (Brian) Myers; 20 grandchildren, and 48 great-grandchildren.

Bob was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He loved telling stories from his life to those around him. Marilyn was the most important person in his life and he devoted all his time and energy to take care of her before her passing in 2016. Bob was an active and dedicated member of the LDS Church holding many Church callings. He donated countless hours as a dedicated Temple Worker in the Mount Timpanogos Temple.

Bob was a talented craftsman and was self-taught in what he accomplished. He shared this knowledge with those around him.  Bob was a Master Gardener starting flowers from seed in his greenhouse which beautified the landscaping. He loved to travel with his family and continued with his wife after their retirement.

During his lifetime Bob worked as a semi-truck driver, US Postal Carrier, and Jordan School District Bus driver. He held the position of President of the Association of Classified Employees for the Jordan School District for many years. He often worked more than one job to support his growing family.
