Rita Brady Pymm

Rita Ann Olsen Brady Pymm was born on July 9, 1943 in Annaconda, MT the 4th of 11 children, to Daris Reese Olsen and Mildred Ames Olsen. When she was very young her family moved to Murtaugh, ID where she grew up and attended school graduating from Murtaugh High School in 1961. 

Shortly after graduation, Rita enrolled in Empire Cosmetology School and moved to Filer, ID. Rita loved her career as a hairdresser and she forged many lifelong friendships with the people that sat in her beauty chair. 

It was in Filer that Rita met the love of her life, Jerry Brady. They married January 18, 1964 in Murtaugh and would later be sealed for eternity in the Idaho Falls Latter Day Saint Temple. Rita and Jerry lived in Filer, Idaho where they had 6 children together before Rita would be widowed in 1979 due to a tragic accident. Rita never truly got over the loss of Jerry. Rita then embarked on the journey of raising her six children without Jerry. 

In 1983, Rita moved with her kids to West Jordan, Utah, where she lived for 10 years. She worked for the local elementary and middle schools in various positions. 

Rita later moved to Sandy, UT and married Les Pymm. They would be married for 23 years. 

Rita was a lifelong devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She looked forward to attending services each Sunday. She loved the many friendships of members of the various wards she belonged to throughout her lifetime. 

Rita loved to garden, crochet, sing, lead the music in church, sing in the church choir, keep in touch with friends and spend time with her children and grandchildren. 

Rita is survived by her children Ann Brady (Matthew, Danielle and River Brady), Thom Brady (Alek Brady), Jon and Laura Brady, (Morgan, Hunter, Ashton and Avery Brady), Karyn and Jason Fife (Baylee, Brynlee, McMynlee, and Brady Fife), Eric Brady, and Jerry and Cora Brady (Jobie and Grayson Brady), her sisters Carma Larson, Peggy Henson, and her brothers Marvin and Van Olsen. 

Rita is preceded in death by her husband Clyde Gerald Brady, in-laws Clyde Glendon Brady, Vernon Carlyle Nielsen, Lois Ailene Nielsen, Mary Ellen Fleenor, parents Daris and Mildred, siblings Gerald, Frank, Darrel, Jane, Marion and Earl.

Special thanks to Donna Peterson, Janette LaRose and the other ladies/friends from her ward who visited Rita daily in her last weeks of life.

There will be a viewing Thursday, May 4 from 6-8 pm at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State St., Midvale. Graveside services will be Friday, May 5 at 1:00 pm in the Filer, Idaho Cemetery.
