Richard Shawn Maxwell

Richard Shawn Maxwell was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on July 29, 1961 and passed away on February 17, 2015 from a heart attack.

He was a loving and caring husband, son, father, grandfather (pampa) and brother. He loved being with his family, hunting, fishing and just being outdoors. He loved to joke and tease. He could put a smile on your face no matter what mood you were in.

He was a mechanic, construction worker and a maintenance man for 25 years at Hillside Villa and West Jordan Care Center.

He is survived by his parents, Donald (Reuel) and Annaliese Maxwell; his wife, Michele of 30 years; 3 daughters, Annaliese, Karen and Jamey; 5 grandchildren,  Jrr, Willy, Maloree, Kaylee and Cody; siblings, Linda Emerson, Dan (Cindy) Maxwell, Tanja Wallace and Melissa Hall; numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his brother, James; uncle, Erik; aunt, Waltraud; nephew, Joshua; mother-in- law and father-in-law Buzis and both sets of grandparents.

May he rest in peace. He will be missed every moment and remain in our hearts forever.

Memorial Services will be held on Monday, February 23, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Mountain View 1st Ward located at 8825 South 3200 West, West Jordan, Utah.

Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah.
