Richard W. Greenhalgh, 76, passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 in his home in Nephi, UT. He was born August 19, 1944 to Roy William and Mildred Heelis in Payson, UT. He married the love of his life Arlene Ingram on June 1, 1962, their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple on September 7, 1963.
He graduated from Juab High School and worked at NRP Jones for 51 years. He was active in the LDS Church and held many callings but his favorite was Home Teaching.
He was a devoted husband and father but his greatest blessings were his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved taking them hunting and watching them play ball. One of his most common quotes was "Hit a Homer for Grandpa." One of his favorite things to do was to pick up the kids after school. He also had a special love for and bond with his Neighborhood Grandkids who visited him often.
He was survived by his loving wife Arlene, his six children, Rick (Helen), Cheryl (Bill) Motes, Blair, Ryan (Kelly), Pat (Erica), and Christi (Brad) Nicholls, 23 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and his brother Dale Lynn (Linda) Greenhalgh.
Preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, 1 sister and 2 granddaughters.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 16 at 11:00 AM at the 1st, 2nd, 7th Ward Church, 100 East 200 South in Nephi. A viewing will be held Sunday at Anderson Funeral Home, 94 West 300 North in Nephi from 6:00-8:00 pm and one hour prior to the funeral service.
