Richard Evenson

On Friday, October 17, 2014 Richard J. Evenson, our rock, left this world to be reunited with his beloved wife Linda, whom he deeply loved and missed. Richard was born on November 1, 1940 in Susanville, CA. Richard was the son of Joseph and Esther Evenson and brother to Fred, Bill, Ray, Joe and Joyce Evenson. He was raised in Eureka, CA and later moved to Salt Lake City, Utah where he worked for Sears for 42 years. Married Gerlinde K. Troeller and together raised 7 children. Richard enjoyed being a father and taking the family on picnics in the mountains, trips to Jackson Hole, or simply sitting under the peach tree with his wife and a glass of wine while the kids played kick-the-can. Richard is survived by children, Gregory, Tina, Brenda, Doug, Bonnie, Leslie, six grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, his brother Fred, sister Joyce. Preceded in death by wife Linda, son Jeff, brothers Bill, Joe, Ray and his mother and father. A wake will be held October 23, 7:00 until 9:00 pm at home of George and Bettina Allen. October 24, 2014 the family will bid farewell and lay him to rest in a private ceremony at Pleasant Green Cemetery.
