It is with great sadness that we share with you the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend Richard Dorrance, who passed away on June 15, 2016 with his loving family by him. He was born on May 30, 1938 in Highland Boy, Bingham Canyon, Utah to Philemon and Noyolia Gardunio Dorrance. At the age of 17 he began serving his country in the U S Air Force. At completion of his military service he worked as a journeyman welder for Kennecott for 35 years. Richard married the love of his life, Adelle, on September 9, 1961 in Salt Lake City
His greatest joy was spending time with his six grandchildren. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and traveling. He treasured his membership in the LDS Church. Richard is survived by his sons: Jon and Cyndi and David and Lark; grandchildren: Austin and Jessica, Drew and Veronica, Aubree, Tanner, Koa and Nathan; siblings: Shirley, Betty, Elsie, Leo and George. He was preceded in death by his brother Willie.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 20th at 11:00 am at the River 7th Ward, 11473 South Chapel View Dr., South Jordan, Utah. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State St., Midvale, Utah on Sunday, June 19th from 6:00-8:00 pm. Condolences may be given Monday at the ward prior to the funeral services between 10:00-10:45 am. Interment will be at the Redwood Memorial Estates Cemetery.
