Richard (Dick) Henry Elder

On the morning of February 3, 2022, Richard (Dick) Henry Elder passed away peacefully in his home in Draper, Utah at the age of 89.  As a faithful disciple of Jesus Christ, husband, father, grandpa, uncle and friend to many, Dick's influence will continue on through the lives of those he has blessed in so many ways.

Dick is survived by his beautiful wife, June, whom he loved dearly during more than 58 years of marriage.  He was a proud father of his five children: Michael (Joan), Jeff (Krystin), David (Michele), Karen Anderson (Jeff) and Steven (Lorene).  He also received immense joy from his many grandchildren, great grandchildren and from what he called his "plywood family."  His son, Jeff, daughter-in-law Rena, his parents and siblings all preceded him in death.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 11th at 11:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints South Mountain Stake Center on 1911 East Gray Fox Drive, Draper, UT 84020.  A viewing will be held from 9:00 am to 10:30 am just prior to the service that same day.  Interment will be at the Utah Veterans Cemetery and Memorial Park in Bluffdale, UT shortly after the service.  For those unable to attend in person, the memorial and graveside services will be broadcast via the link below.
