Richard Roland Christensen, born August 8, 1939 in Casper, Wyoming, died January 4, 2017 in West Jordan, Utah.
Richey died in the loving arms of his family.
Richey loved Alpine, Wyoming, spending time with family and his beloved wife Darlene. The two of them met in 1954 at Mount Jordan Junior High School. They have been inseparable ever since.
Together they raised three successful children, Rick (Tawny) Christensen, Suzette (Mike) Fowlks, Tiffany (Mike) Snyder. They had four amazing grandchildren that brought him such great joy, Brad (Crystal) Fowlks, Leslie (Joshua) Warner, Caitlin Christensen and Colter Christensen, and grand puppy Wookie. They were also blessed with three great grandchildren, Wyatt, Shelby and Bridger. Richard loved spending time tinkering in his garage and fishing.
Richard was born in Casper, Wyoming to Robert and Velma Christensen. He was preceded in death by his parents and all of his siblings, Delores, Beryl, Gordon, Neel, and Marvel Christensen.
Richard was a successful oil salesman. He started at Roderick Enterprise at an early age of 16. He had a reputation of an honest and hard working salesman. Many customers remained loyal to him throughout his career. He was so knowledgeable and easily made friends. He stayed in the oil business until he retired.
A Celebration of Life will be held January 15, 2017 beginning at 1:00 pm at the Copper Hills Clubhouse, 5584 W. Frisco Drive (about 8750 S.).
The family would like to thank Quality Hospice, West Jordan Paramedics, his nurses, Becky, and Charmaine, and aids Nicole and Lexus. We appreciate all of the wonderful family and friends.
