Dick, 87, passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 13, 2018 in Sandy, Utah. He was born June 16, 1930 in Riverton, Utah to Clarence William and Josephine Reynolds Burningham. Dick married his sweetheart Patsy Nowlan on July 8, 1950. They spent 50 wonderful years together. After Patsy passed away he was blessed to reunite with and marry his childhood friend Lois Steadman. Dick and Lois shared 14 years together.
Dick joined the Marine Corps at the young age of 16. He was a veteran of two wars. He served three years of active duty and was honorably discharged. At that time he joined the reserves and was called back to serve in the Korean War where he earned a bronze star. Dick worked for Chicago Bridge and Iron Co. for 30 years, and was an Assistant Superintendent at the time of his retirement. After his retirement he opened a welding shop at his home. He also enjoyed golfing and traveling with friends.
Dick is survived by one daughter Lisa Talbot (Randy), and sons Craig (Jana), Ned (Tania), Bart (Aleene), Regan (Shanna), 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, wives Patsy and Lois, sons Steven and Scott, 4 sisters and 7 brothers.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 17th at 11:00 am at the LDS Chapel located at 85 E. 11000 So. There will be a viewing beginning at 9:00 am.
