Rhea Jean Johnson passed away on January 28, 2018 in Harlingen, Texas. She was born on April 21, 1933 in Charleston, Utah to Joseph William and Idona Simmons. Rhea married Francis William Johnson on May 5, 1950 in Evanston, Wyoming.
She worked for the Jordan School District, Abbott Diesel, Kmart and the State Fair Grounds. Rhea liked hunting and fishing with her husband, father and brother, Sharon. She loved to travel. She liked making her ceramics and porcelain dolls. She was a talented artist.
Survived by her sons and daughters, Francis William Jr. (Nancy) Johnson of Harlingen, Texas; Richard Glenn (Layne) Johnson of Riverton; Rhonda (Dennis) Keener of Tooele; Penny (Randy) Humphrey of Sandy; Anthony Wayne (Jeannie) Johnson of Murray; Aaron Troy Johnson of West Jordan; 18 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; sisters, LaRue Kreek, Wilma Maxfield, Pauline Peterson, Sheral Ann Taylor, Joyce Giles and Jolene Cox.
Preceded in death by her husband, Francis William Johnson; mother, Idona Simmons; father, Joseph William Simmons; sister, Maurine Kendall; brothers, Niel Simmons, Craig Simmons, Karl Simmons and Sharon Simmons.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Midvale, Utah. Interment, Charleston Cemetery, 3800 South 2800 West, Charleston, Utah.
