Our beloved Rex Terry Kendall left this earthly life on May 11, 2017 in the ICU of Provo Regional Hospital after a long battle of declining health issues.
Terry was born November 29, 1937 in Nephi, UT to Rex Wilkey Kendall and Thelma Elaine Reid Kendall. He grew up in Nephi, attended schools in Nephi. Nephi was always home except for time served in Korea in the US Army and a small time to attend Barber School in Salt Lake.
Terry married Annette Howarth in 1955. They had 3 children, James (Marion) Kendall, Jerry (Carla) Kendall and Kelly (Brian) Hansen. They later divorced.
When being a barber didn't support his family anymore, he started driving truck for Pexton Wholesale and later became the warehouse supervisor. He also drove truck for Wycoff and Hostess. Terry spent his last working days as owner of the Fros-T-Freez until he sold and retired in 2000.
Terry loved animals, especially a loyal dog and a good horse. He tried his hand in raising Appaloosas, Quarter Horses, Ostriches and Watusi Cattle. He loved being at the farm and out on the west desert.
Most of all Terry loved being Grandpa. All his family brought him the greatest joy in life. He loved each and every one.
Terry is survived by his sweetheart Chloa Lunt, his 2 sons and 1 daughter and their spouses, his 101 year old mother Thelma, brother Dale (Bonnie) Kendall, and sister Vickie (Jim) Thomas, 12 grandkids 21 great grandkids, and 1 great great grandchild, and many who called him uncle and friend. He is also survived by his extended family Kirby Lunt, Mikki Chandler, and Kerri Lynn and Roy Pearson and all their children, who lovingly called him Pops.
Terry was preceded in death by his father Rex and a grandson J.C. Reed.
The family would like to extend our appreciation to Dr. Rasmussen and staff at CVMC and to the ICU staff at Provo Regional Valley Center who lovingly took care of Terry in his last days.
