Raymond Bert Alires, 77, passed away on January 25, 2016 in Murray, Utah. He was born on May 31, 1938 in Ignacio, Colorado to Umberto Alires and Beatriz Padilla. Raymond married Rose Marie Ortega on November 22, 1959 in Copperton, Utah.
Ray retired from Kennecott Copper as an Engineer. He was a huge car enthusiast and loved his 1940 Ford Truck.
Survived by his wife, Rose; children, Donny Alires (Denease), Tammy Summerhays, Traci (Bill) Clark, Robert (Holly) Alires; 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; sisters, Rose, Julia, Carol, Mary Helen; brothers, Ralph and Jim.
Preceded in death by his parents and son, Jimmy.
He was our ROCK and will be greatly missed. We love you Dad.
A gathering will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, January 29, 2016 at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Midvale, Utah.
