Ray Orville Livingston

Ray Orville Livingston returned home to his loving Father in Heaven on March 24, 2016. Ray was born in Salt Lake City to Ernest Orville and Mary Evans Livingston. He was the 2nd of 4 children. He graduated from Highland High where he played football. Ray attended BYU and continued to play football for BYU. This is where a beautiful young girl, Frances Ann Russell caught his eye. They were married for time and eternity on Sept. 5, 1962 in the Manti Temple.

Ray was a glazier by trade and worked hard to provide a comfortable life for his family. His passion was the great outdoors, hunting and fishing. He always embraced a good adventure, and loved spending time with his family. Ray had a sense of humor like no other. Everyone loved to be around Ray. He had a special knack for making everyone feel special. Ray had many hobbies, making furniture, saddles, guitars, bow and arrows, tent trailers, it goes on and on. He could make anything he wanted to. He was the first to offer a helping hand for anyone in need, and served in many callings in the LDS church. Ray was known as the gentle giant as he served as an ordinance worker in the Jordan River Temple. We are all blessed to have him in our lives.

Ray was survived by his loving wife, Frances Ann Russell; daughters, Bonnie (Quinn) Carter, and Debbie (Matt) Bringhurst, son, Clif (Monica) Livingston; 11 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by son, Weston Ray Livingston; and grandsons, Dakota and Jayden Livingston.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 1 at 11 a.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State St., Midvale, where there will be viewings on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and Friday one hour prior to services. Interment, Sandy City Cemetery.
