Ray, 88, passed away in Sandy, Utah on October 25, 2018 from natural causes. Ray was born on July 31, 1930 to Swedish immigrants Gustav Amos Greenberg and Gerda Helena Anderson in Murray, Utah. He was proud to be 100% Swede.
Ray was married to Jacqueline Lee Lottermoser, later divorced. He is survived by his 6 children Ralph (Jerolyn) Greenberg; Karen Meek; Jennifer (Greg) Hall; Rebecca (Don) Decker; Buzz (Heidi) Greenberg and Dean Greenberg.
He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and a brother, Robert Greenberg.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Greenberg siblings Ester, Harry, Betty, Carl, Rosa, Ruby, Joseph, and a grandson Kevin Decker.
Ray made his living in the construction field and was a very hard worker. He was a proud Veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Navy aboard the USS George K. MacKenzie.
He was an avid Oklahoma Sooners fan, a military and political history buff, and loved to watch old TV westerns.
Thank you to the VA team who brought their care to Ray, allowing him to stay in his home.
The family would like to give special thanks to Gaylene Robinson, who had a very special relationship with Ray as his longtime caregiver and friend.
Graveside military services will be held Tuesday, October 30 at 12:00 at the Utah Veterans Cemetery, 17111 South Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale, Utah.
