Our wonderful father, husband, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend, Ralph Henrie, peaceably passed from us Friday, February 5th. Ralph (Garth, as many knew him) was born June 9th, 1928 in Venice, Utah to Ralph E. Henrie and Velta Houston. He married his sweetheart, Barbara Rae Reeves in the Manti Temple, December 19th, 1947.
Dad came from very humble beginnings but was always generous with what he had. He was loved and admired by many and was a great example to his family of faith and endurance. He drove tank in the Korean War and was very patriotic. He was an active member of the LDS church, serving in 4 bishoprics, high council, Temple Worker and instructor. Retired from Mountain Bell and worked at Hercules. He and Barbara enjoyed a long and healthy retirement spending many years as snow birds. He loved being around Nancy's horses and loved fishing on his boat. He provided many wonderful memories to his family and others at Lake Powell and other adventures. He loved his family and will be greatly missed.
Survived by his children, Kerry, Jeff (Susan) and Nancy (Gordon VanTassell); 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren (2 more on the way). Preceded in death by his wife Barbara, parents and sister Jean. Special thanks to Lisa, Jolene and Ginger.
