Priscilla Valdez

The world lost a wonderful loving woman on Tuesday, August 23rd. Priscilla Valdez died of complications related to a fall. After a 12-day battle she is finally at peace. Priscilla was born on March 9, 1938 in La Madera, New Mexico to Albino and Guadalupe Ortega. She was the oldest of 12 children. She was married to Roger Valdez on June 18th, 1970.

Priscilla is survived by her daughters Elizabeth (Jared) and Jessica, along with her bonus kids Tony (Lora), Julie (Mike), Steven (Nancy), Valerie (Tony), Robert (Stacie), Tonya (Richard) and Roger (Dawn). Priscilla had many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly. She is also survived by her brothers Lawrence (Ida) and Rick (Kelly) and her sisters Rose (Mike), Elva, Patricia and Loretta (Frank). Priscilla genuinely enjoyed playing with her dogs and grandkids in the backyard.

There will be a viewing Monday, August 29th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm with the Rosary at 7:00 pm at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State St. in Midvale. There will be another viewing on Tuesday, August 30th from 10:00 am to 10:45 am at St. Therese Catholic Church, 624 W. Lennox St. in Midvale, with the funeral mass from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. Interment will be at Midvale City Cemetery. There will be a luncheon at St. Therese after.
