Phyllis Andrea Crane

Phyllis Andrea Marsh Crane was born on May 23,1947 in Pocatello, Idaho to Phillip Andrew Marsh and Janet Alfarette Wheatley. She grew up moving all over Idaho due to her father's work.  As a child she learned to play the piano and enjoyed it throughout her life. She graduated from Rigby High school.  She earned an Associates degree in music education from Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho. She served in the Southern States Mission in 1968-69.

She met Kenneth Earl Crane in Savannah, Georgia at church in 1969.  They were married in the Salt Lake Temple on August 28, 1970.  She continued her music education at BYU, until she chose the higher calling of motherhood. She has 6 children, 35 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren with 3 more coming this year.

After 20 years of being a stay at home mom she worked as a Title I teacher aide at Webster Elementary in Magna and at West Kearns elementary.  After retiring she served a mission with her husband in Wasco, California on the almond and pistachio farm in 2013-2015, where she loved the people and shared the gospel through her loving smile and acts of kindness. After her mission she spent her time crocheting hats and booties, and then donated them to children at Primary Children's and Shriners hospitals.

She passed away peacefully at home on January 23, 2022 surrounded by her family. Throughout her life she served her Savior, Jesus Christ in various callings and by loving all she met. She was always learning and teaching others. All have been blessed by her gift of music.  We will always treasure the time we have had so far and look forward to eternity together.
