Peggy Hyer, 68, passed away August 18, 2018 at her home in Sandy, UT, from lung cancer. She was born October 26, 1949 in Afton, Wyoming to Thede Max and Helen Mabel Harrison. She grew up in Logan, Utah. She married Max Edwin Hyer November 3, 1967 in the Logan Temple. She graduated from Logan High School. She was active in the LDS church, where she served in many callings.

She is survived by her husband, Max Edwin Hyer of Sandy, UT; her children, Leezell Watts (Brent) of Midvale, UT; Angela Montague (Travis) of West Valley City, UT; Bridgett Snelten (Dave) of Sandy, UT; Jami Harvey of Sandy, UT. She was preceded in death by her son, Paul Max Hyer; mother and father, Thede and Helen Harrison; brother, Dana; and brother-in-law, Harley Calvin. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren: Nickolas, Patrick, Jennica, Brayden and Arianna Watts, Keely Hyer, Frankie and Izabella Snelten, and Aidan Harvey; her siblings, Amy Derr (Otto) of Logan, UT; Max T. Harrison (Miriam) of Rocklin, CA; Linda Calvin of CO; Richard F. Harrison (Young Mi) of Cheyenne, WY; Susan Waters (Dan) of Midvale, UT; Kevin Harrison of Newton, UT; Mark E. Harrison (Deb) of Willard, OH; Colin M. Harrison (Bonnie) of Logan, UT; Kim D. Harrison (Charlene) of Logan, UT; Roseanne James (Tony) of Logan, UT; Rex C. Harrison of Richmond, UT; Wade L. Harrison (Joni) of Logan, UT.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on August 24th at the Fairoaks Ward at 586 East 8400 South, Sandy, Utah. There will be a viewing Thursday, August 23rd at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State St., Midvale, Utah 84047 from 6:00-8:00 pm and again on Friday, August 24th one hour before the service. Burial will be in the Midvale City Cemetery.

The family would like to thank all the Doctors and Nurses at Applegate Hospice for their kind and tender care for many months. A special thanks to Shannon, whom Peggy dearly loved. We love you all! Please, instead of flowers, donate to your favorite charity or the LDS Missionary Fund.
