Peggy Ellen Neilsen Greenhalgh passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at the age of 69.
Peggy was born on May 4, 1950 in Payson, Utah to C. Milton and Dorothy Sperry Neilsen of Mona, Utah, the oldest of 3 children. She graduated from Juab High School and attended LDS Business College.
On July 25, 1969, Peggy married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Glenn Greenhalgh. They were later sealed in the Manti Temple. While Peggy passed just two months' shy of their golden wedding anniversary, they loved each other for well over 50 years. Glenn took care of and was by Peggy's side during her long battle with illness. When she lost the ability to walk and get around on her own, Glenn built her a wheelchair lift so she was still able to go outside to see her neighbors and check on her beloved roses.
Peggy loved the Gospel of Jesus Christ and served faithfully in her many callings, but especially loved the time she spent serving with the Primary children. All children held a special place in her heart. She had a love and talent of making little quotes and sayings and always had a new craft project she was working on. She often shared these with family and friends. She especially loved making special neighbor gifts at Christmas time and handing them out. Peggy was the mother of 3 children. Whenever they were going on a trip, she enjoyed teaching them about the places they would be visiting and things they might see. She loved her 8 grandchildren and always made them feel special and loved with crafts she would make them for holidays and birthdays.
Peggy is survived by her husband, Glenn; her 3 children, Ron (Leslie) and their 5 children; Heidi and her 3 children; and Neil; her mother, Dorothy; her sister, Nancy (LaMonte); her brother Allan (Shelly). Preceded in death by her father, Milton.
