Peggy Sue Burns

Peggy Sue Burns died 14 November 2020 in her home of heart failure. She was born 2 July 1959 in Salt Lake City to Florence Marie Cook and George Henry Burns. She was the fourth of five children, their second daughter.

Peggy worked at Quality Linen and Beehive Clothing. She loved doing crafts and Word Search, watching fireworks and movies, and family dinners.  Peggy loved Mom and Dad and it was especially hard on her after their deaths. She watched over both of them before they passed. She didn't have any children of her own, but she loved all of her nieces and nephews and spent time with them whenever she could, bringing them treats.

Peggy was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Peggy is survived by her older brother Steven Burns (Teri); and her sisters Marilyn Kent (Robert) and Janet Scott. She was preceded in death by her brother Glenn Burns, her mother and father, and her great niece April Kent.

A viewing for family will be held on Thursday, 19 November 2020 from 9:30 to 10:30 am at Goff Mortuary (8090 S State Street, Midvale, Utah). A graveside service for family and friends will follow at Valley View Memorial Park (4400 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah) at 11:00 am.

Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, we respectfully ask that only family and invited friends attend the services.  Masks are required and social distancing will be maintained.  A video recording of the services will be available on the Goff Mortuary website for viewing after the conclusion of the services for those that are not able to attend in person.
