Paulette Marie Olsen

Paulette Marie Chandler Olsen, 69, of West Jordan, Utah passed away to join her husband, parents and sister on February 15, 2021.

Paulette was born in Roosevelt, Utah on November 20, 1951 to William Thomas (Tom) and Leah Mae Pickup Chandler. She was the eldest of five children. The family moved several times around the state and country until settling in Salt Lake when Paulette was twelve. She was in pep club at Granite High School where she graduated from in 1969.

Paulette married Jay D. Olsen on November 27, 1971. She worked making draperies so she could stay at home to care for her daughter for several years before she started doing credit reporting (most recently for Credit Plus) until she retired in 2019. She was an amazing homemaker and was known for many different dishes, but particularly her ham rolls at Christmas time. Her pride and joy were her granddaughters and she was a very giving friend with never a bad word to say about anyone.

Paulette was preceded in death by her husband (Jay D.), parents (William Thomas and Leah Mae Pickup Chandler) and sister (Renee Bennett). She is survived by her daughter, Heather; granddaughters, Lily and Daisy; siblings Rodney (Patsy) Chandler, Chris (Lynn) Chandler and Patti (Erik) VanAmen.

A viewing will be held Sunday, February 21, 2021 at Anderson & Goff Mortuary, 11859 South 700 East, Draper, UT from 6 pm to 8 pm. Interment and graveside service at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy, UT, Monday, February 22, 2021 at 12 pm.
