Paul Van Terry, a successful business owner and lifelong resident of Utah, passed away unexpectedly on December 30, 2021, at the age of 50.
He is survived by his spouse Shelly (Ludlow) Terry, and his children: Heather Penrod, Jared Penrod, Katelyn Badham, Camille Noel Terry, Bradon Badham, and Sierra Ann Terry. His surviving siblings: Jamie (Terry) Dunfield, Daniel Terry, Rebecca (Terry) Beck, Susan (Terry) Rosenlof, Cindy (Terry) Ballif, Frank Terry, and Jeannette (Terry) Ingersoll. He had nine grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his father Arnold Van Terry, his mother Geraldine (Despain) Terry and his sister Gayle (Terry) Seely.
Paul was born in Heber City, Utah on June 2, 1971. He was the first born child of Arnold and Geraldine Terry.
He married his true love Machelle (Shelly) Ludlow on January 30, 2001, in Riverton, Utah. Together they had six children, which fulfilled Paul's dream of having a large family.
Paul maintained a strong testimony in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and often sought to share its doctrine. Although Paul did not have the opportunity to serve a mission, he was a missionary in life. His faith carried him through many challenges.
He was taught to work hard, play hard and love hard. He enjoyed many hobbies including snowmobiles, exotic cars, dirt bikes, team roping, and riding horses. Paul was a thrill seeker. There wasn't a mountain steep enough, a corner sharp enough, or a horse fast enough to satisfy him. He was a man who knew no fear.
Paul was legendary! He lived his life to the fullest. He could never have enough horsepower and was always at full-throttle. If anyone could live a lifetime in only 50 years, it was Paul.
He will be deeply missed by many.
