Paul H. Lyon

Paul H. Lyon passed away peacefully at home December 28, 2016.

Paul was born December 3, 1933 in Preston, Idaho to Charles Leonard and Lula Palmer Lyon. Raised in West Jordan, Utah, he served an LDS mission to the New England States Mission. He married his sweetheart Gayle Kidder Lyon on December 21, 1956 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. A lifelong and avid angler, he always said she "was his greatest catch." He loved music, to play his ukulele, and six- and 12-string guitars, and lived his life in the service of others. He served faithfully in numerous church positions and a mission with his beloved wife to the LDS Church Humanitarian Center.

He always said his two greatest accomplishments were his marriage and his family. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Gayle, children: Bruce (Susan) Lyon, Jeffery (Gerilee) Lyon, Kimberly (Steven) Boothe, Dorothy (Kenneth) Burbank, Jennifer (Read) Arnold, sisters Norma Fisher, LuAnn (Richard) Conley, brother Mark (Jeanne) Lyon, 23 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
