Paul Maurice Lambert

Paul Maurice Lambert passed away on December 22, 2014, after a two year battle with various health issues. He was born on September 1, 1937, to Maurice and Yvonne Lambert in Lawrence, MA.

He graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1955 and went on to receive a BS Degree in Plastics Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, in 1959. He was a member of Omicron Pi Fraternity. He married Dorothy Karalunos on June 3, 1961, in Lawrence, MA.  After marriage, he worked in Somers, CT, and then moved on to Goodyear Aerospace, Akron, OH, Boeing Aircraft, Renton, WA, Herman Miller Company, Zeeland, MI, and then taught Plastics Engineering at Ferris State University, Big Rapids, MI. In 1982, he and his family moved to Utah, where he worked at Eimco Corporation, Salt Lake City, UT. In 1984, he began a twenty year career as a problem solver for various companies across the nation.

His life-long hobby was shooting antique Scheutzen Rifles. He competed in and helped run many matches and won his share of them. He was a member of the Utah Scheutzen Society and NRA. He also volunteered over one thousand hours as a Range Safety Officer at Lee Kay Center. He enjoyed fishing and traveling in his motorhome with Dorothy.

Survived by his wife of 53 years, Dorothy Lambert; children, Paul E. Lambert, Leslie (Harry) Lynch, John (Kimberly) Lambert; grandchildren, Daniel and David Lynch, Tanner, Allison, McKenna and Kelsie Lambert; brother, Raymond (Amy) Lambert; sister, Jeannette Peabody. Preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 27, 2014, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 1745 East 9800 South, Sandy, Utah. Viewings will held from 6-8 p.m. with a short vigil service starting at 7 p.m. on Friday evening, December 26, 2014, at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Midvale, Utah, and one hour prior to the service, at the church.
