Paul Raymond Kelley, born on March 12, 1952, to Raymond and Iris Kelley in Redwood City, California, completed his life’s mission on September 12, 2023, after a short battle with cancer.
Paul is survived by his loving wife and best friend Rhonda, he was an amazing father to Sean and Erin Meehan-Kelley; stepchildren Matthew Jones, Scott, Emily and Corey Thorell; grandchildren Hudson (Riley Sharp) and Oliver Jones; brother, Mark Kellley (WA); Uncle David and Aunt Diane (NY); Mike and (Chris, deceased) Kalipetsis (ID); Troy and Sheri Lawson; Chris and Jan Davidson; grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, many life-long friends and acquaintances.
Paul and Rhonda were married on May 29, 1994, in Reno, Nevada. They loved traveling with his brother Mark and their adventures took them to Spain and Greece on amazing wine tasting adventures. They also enjoyed cruising and their many trips to Mexico with family and the many friends that he made while there.
Paul was born and raised in the Bay Area of California. Paul was asked as a young man to travel to Salt Lake City, Utah by an investor to learn the “ins and outs” of an “Iconic Restaurant” Cinegrill which was established in 1952. With the potential interest in the opening of this style restaurant in California. In the early 1990’s he returned to Utah to reopen this business as a co-owner and operator of the “Iconic Cinegrill”. He was loved by all who worked with and for him. He reconnected and connected with the many dedicated customers and the new customers that he had the pleasure of meeting.
He had a mischievous side and always had the greatest true-life adventures; with the greatest stories to share.
A celebration of life will be held in his honor where friends and family will be encouraged to share their life experiences and stories of the impact that he had on them. The date and time have yet to be determined.
