Our sweet, loving, Mom, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Wife, Sister, Neighbor, and Friend to everyone, Patty Lou Heckman Loosle passed away on November 2, 2023. Patty was born and raised in Elsinore, CA. In her younger years she enjoyed camping and rock hunting with her family, and helping out in her Dad’s TV repair shop.
Patty liked to be involved in many sports, and played on the high school tennis team. She had a variety of talents and hobbies including drawing and painting, calligraphy, square dancing and family history. One of her favorite activities was traveling and going on cruises with her husband, Marvin.
Patty is best known for her compassion and warm personality which helped her make friends with everyone she met.
Patty joined the church as a teenager, and never looked back, sharing her testimony with many, and putting her faith into action. While at a church activity, she met the love of her life, Marvin, and married him in the Logan, Utah temple. Patty exemplified love and service her whole life, and was called to many leadership positions in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served as ward primary president, ward and stake Relief Society President, and even had the unique opportunity of serving as Relief Society President at the Utah state prison where she would go and serve the women there, whom she learned to love. Teaching and helping others was an important part of her life. Patty and Marvin served a full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in West Virginia in 1996 and 1997, and as missionaries in the Sandy Institute.
Patty enjoyed getting together for boating, camping, family reunions, and being with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Patty was preceded in death by her loving husband Marvin W. Loosle. She is survived by her son Brent Loosle (Pauline), daughter Tami Loosle, son Todd Loosle (Deone), and daughter Korie Jensen (Clint); 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, sister Carol Tanner, and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Roy L. Heckman and Caroline E. Heckman and two grandsons Blake B. Loosle and Clayton G. Loosle.
We would like to thank the Cedarwood administration, nurses and staff and the Canyons Hospice Nurses and support staff for their loving care and compassion for our wonderful, sweet mom.
