Patsy Lee Hunt passed away peacefully on August 24, 2021, in Highland, Utah, at the age of 84 with her daughter Julie by her side.
She was born August 16, 1937, in Rock Springs, Wyoming. She was raised with her two sisters, Beverly and Loretta, and her brother, Jim, by her kind hardworking parents Victor and Cecelia (Castillo) Chaussart. The Chaussarts later moved to Salt Lake City when Patsy was a young girl. She graduated from West High School where she enjoyed the tap dance program.
Patsy was married to Robert Francis Barron (divorced). They had three children, Leslie Smith-Brooks (Bill); Robert B. Barron (De Anne); Julie Lynn Mohler (Larry). She later married Glen Chlarson (divorced); Evan Bullock (divorced). They had two children, Tonya Marie Bishop (Greg). Michael John Bullock. Robert D. Hunt (divorced).
Preceded in death by her father, mother, daughter (Baby Barron she had hoped to name Vicki), brother, Victor James (Jim), two sisters, Beverly Harries and Loretta Meyers, and great-grandson Valentine Bishop.
Patsy enjoyed laughing. singing and playing the piano and going to the singles dances. She also loved gardening and canning. She also made very good cinnamon and butterscotch rolls, enchiladas, chicken noodle soup, and taught many of her family members the recipes.
Patsy worked at JA Taylor school lunch, sold Avon and formed Teamwork Cleaning.
As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, she was called to bake the bread served in her ward's sacrament service. She also taught primary, which brought her great joy. Patsy was sealed to Robert D. Hunt in the Jordan River Temple.
Later in life, while she was living with her youngest daughter, Tonya and her family, she enjoyed playing Bingo and visiting with friends at the Tooele Senior Citizen Center and Grantsville Senior Citizen Center. Patsy loved to crochet and was very good at it. She crocheted blankets for each of her children and grandchildren, which they will cherish. She also loved puzzles. During the beginning of the pandemic, and while living with her daughter Julie, she enjoyed reading and putting together puzzles with Julie's family. As a family, we appreciate Tonya and Julie for their loving care.
Patsy spent her last few months at the Highland Glen assisted living facility where she had great caregivers that were so kind and good to her.
She is survived by her daughters, Leslie, Julie, Tonya, and sons Robert (Bryan) and Michael, 13 grandsons, 11 granddaughters, and 20 great grandchildren.
A short viewing will be held Friday, September 3 at the Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State Street from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM.
Pallbearers and Honorary Pallbearers will be Patsy's youngest son, Michael Bullock, grandsons Billy Hansen, Shaine Smith, Jeffrey Smith, Eric Smith, Skyler Georgio, Jeffrey Collier, Jordan Mohler, Bradley Bishop, Landon Bishop, and Evan Bullock.
Following the viewing there will be a small family graveside service which will be held at the Salt Lake City Cemetery at 2:00 PM.
