Patrick Roger O'Kelley, 66, peacefully passed away on October 5, 2015 while hunting at Rose Meadows near Fish Lake. He was born on August 17, 1949 in Quincy, CA to Harvey Andrew O'Kelley and Norma Jean Morris. Pat served as a Sergeant in the US Army. After his discharge from the military, he began working for Western Pacific Railroad in Keddie, CA in 1970. He was transferred to SLC, UT in 1978 where he began his career with Union Pacific Railroad. He was a dedicated and respected employee until his retirement and maintained good friendships with his co-workers.
Pat was most passionate about the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Nothing made him happier than the times he spent in the mountains with his treasured family and friends. His memory and legacy of love for the outdoors will be carried on by his daughters and grandchildren.
Pat touched many lives in a unique and special way. He was always willing to help those in need and everyone that knew him loved and respected him. He will live on in each and every heart he touched.
Survived by his wife, Susan O'Kelley; daughters, Tina O'Kelley and Shawna O'Kelley Dejulis (Tony); grandchildren, Kaiden Adams and Emma Dejulis; stepson, Jon Bottoms; mother, Norma Thompson; brother, Henry Thompson (Lisa); sisters, Judy Murphy (Jay), Peggy (Louis) Nelson, Vivian Schmidt (Tom) and Alice Kirk (Paul); many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private family services will be held.
