Paradise Sophia Haney, 33, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2020 a?ter a long, valiant fight with various health challenges. Paradise was bor??n in Salt Lake City?? on July 7, 1986 to Traci Mar??tin & Rickey Haney.
Paradise g??rew up in a large ex??ended family f??ull of laughs and love. Along the way, at the age of t??wo (2), she was introduced to her stepdad, Rudolph Mar??tin, and then in her teens, by her stepmom, Tammy Haney, whom both loved and adored her. She par??icularly adored her first nephew, Shahi, who was handicapped. This led to an early career as a CNA. She had a natural gi?t in helping, empathizing and caring for people.
Paradise had t??wo children that were her world. In addition, she had many cousins, nieces and nephews that looked up to her as a second mom. Whenever you went to Auntie PP's house, you knew you were going to laugh and love. To know her was to love her. She had an infectious smile and a smart?? mouth.
Paradise is sur??ived by her t??wo young children: Der??rick 'DJ' Gause and Josiah 'JT' Haney; sisters and brothers: Nikkie, Mary??ann (Don) Goodwin, Raphael, Ray??mond, Shalisa, Janaiha , Rickey Jr., Kayla and Richard; uncles: Cor??y, Justin, Cour??tly??nn, James, Breland and Michael; aunties: Tajuana, Yolanda and Valerie; g??randmother: Rosalee; favorite cousins: Tiana and Dana; and many cousins ??in the Haney & Davison family. She was preceded in death and will meet in heaven: Rudy, Mereth, Shahi, Troy, Shabree, Deanna, Sher??ie, and Joe??tta, as well as numerous family and ??friends whom she loved ver??y much.
We will g??reatly miss Paradise, but we know she is now fr??ee of her eart??hly illnesses and pain. We would like to thank the people that suppor??ted Paradise during the last years of her life and to those that donated time and f??unds to provide a proper home-going. Godspeed.
