It is with great love and pride that we share that Pamela Ann Bisel Dittmar graduated this life at the age of 82 to join her loving life companion and love of her life, Edbert Earnest Lewis Dittmar, in heaven. She passed away on January 12, 2025 in Draper, Utah.
Pamela loved to dance. She danced her way through this life and spread joy to many. She was a loving friend to everyone she came in contact with. She was a great daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. Pam was known for her artist talents and used them to spread joy and happiness.
As an avid seamstress she clothed her six children and many of their friends. She made many young women feel special by making custom prom and wedding dresses. She was a master quilt maker, and as a result warmed many beds and hearts. Pam was known to hand-make all the gifts she ever gave, and they were truly gifts given from the heart.
Pam raised her six children in the idyllic town of Issaquah, Washington together with her husband Ed, where they worked hard and played harder. Pam was a wiz at keeping the family camper fully stocked and ready to go at a moment’s notice for any weekend adventure, and there were many!
Beyond her artistic talents was the gift Pam gave of friendship and love to so many. There always seemed to be extra kids hanging around her home, and she gave motherly love to anyone who needed some extra care, both young and old. Rarely was there a holiday celebrated in the Dittmar home without extra places set at the table. “Family” was more than just immediate family to Pam.
Pamela was a dedicated disciple of Jesus Christ and served diligently in many callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. A few of her favorites were serving as stake youth leaders with her loving companion Ed, being a costume designer and seamstress for the Hill Cumorah pageant for seven years, and serving as a temple worker in the Spokane, Washington Temple. However, the calling that brought her the most joy was when she and Ed served a family history mission together in Germany.
Pam’s light and life will be missed by her six children, twenty-four grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and the many family members she collected along the way in this life. Go in Peace!
With grateful hearts the family would like to extend a huge thanks to the staff at Ashford in Draper and Serenity Hospice of Utah for the amazing care they took of our momma. They seemed to love her almost as much as her family did. We can not thank you enough for your kindness!
A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor at Anderson & Goff Mortuary located at 11859 S 700 E, Draper, UT, January 23rd at 11 am. Visit with the family from 9:30 to 10:30. Pamela will be laid to rest in the Woodland, Utah cemetery.
