Orus Kent Sudweeks

Orus Kent Sudweeks, age 75 passed away peacefully on April 1, 2025. Kent was born May 28th, 1949 to Orus and Hazel Sudweeks. Kent was the youngest and only boy of 5 children. Following high school he attended Snow College then later married Brenda Blackett of Nephi Ut, together they had two children Brian and Melanie.

Kent enjoyed vacationing with family and spending time outdoors. He was well known for his love of people and enjoyed making them smile and laugh with his witty humor, but also had a quiet caring demeanor. Kent is survived by his sister Loy Beth (Jim) Morgenson of Taylorsville Ut, sister Ellen (David) Bird of Moroni Ut, wife Brenda Blackett Sudweeks of Payson Ut, son Brian Sudweeks of Parsons Tn, grandson Skyler (Katherine) Sudweeks, great grandsons Denver and Cooper of Paris Tn. granddaughters Riley, Kylee and Alura of Parsons Tn. Daughter Melanie (Landon) John grandsons Eli and Conrad of Draper Ut.

Kent was preceded in death by sister Doris (Gib) Gibson, and Nona (Dick) Badham. Kent was loved by many and will truly be missed.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, April 6th from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Brookside Ward, 952 West 1580 South, Payson, UT, and again on Monday, April 7th from 9:30 to 10:45 AM. Funeral services to follow at 11:00 AM also at the church. Interment will take place in the Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi, UT.
